Our campaign to bring a world-class resort, 1300 jobs, and $400 million in investment to Danville enjoys widespread support across the City.
Our effort is led by four honorary co-chairs: Delegate Danny Marshall, Mayor Alonzo Jones, Averett University President Dr. Tiffany Franks, and Negril, Inc. Chief Operating Officer Tammy Wright-Warren, who is also an investor in the project.
Creating a world-class resort in Danville is the next step in our economic revitalization. This project will be transformative for our region and deserves our support.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our community and breathes life back into an old industrial site. I hope my fellow residents will join me in voting yes to bring Caesars to Danville.
The opportunities for collaboration between Caesars Entertainment and Averett University are tremendous. Our students will enjoy internship opportunities that can lead to rewarding and fulfilling careers right here in Danville.
Caesars has a strong record of lifting up small businesses in the areas where they operate, especially those owned by women and minorities. This is the kind of partner our area wants and deserves.
The efforts of our co-chairs are complemented by the energy and guidance of a 10-person steering committee of community and business leaders. Members of our steering committee include:
Caesars Entertainment’s priorities are Danville’s priorities: investing in people and education, ensuring a safe City for all, and helping our community to grow. I am excited to work with my friends on the steering committee to promote the great jobs and unparalleled tax revenue that Caesars Virginia will bring to Danville.
Our community needs dedicated corporate partners. With Caesars Entertainment, Danville gets a partner that is engaged and committed to investing in our neighborhoods and our children.
