This diverse group of businesses – ranging from retail and restaurants to hoteliers, members of the construction industry and professional and personal service providers – demonstrates the depth and breadth of support for Caesars Virginia, a transformative economic development project that will invest $400 million to create a premier resort in Danville
Caesars Virginia aims to boost the local economy and become a pillar of the community and earning the support of local businesses is an important step toward long-term, sustainable growth for Danville and surrounding communities. The support of these businesses highlights the projected benefits Caesars Virginia will bring to the local economy. “Caesars Virginia will bring millions of people to Danville who may never have visited otherwise,” said Anne Mason, owner of Foxglove Clothing, located on West Main St. across from the proposed site of Caesars Virginia. “The opportunities for businesses like mine to grow along with this project are immense,” added Mason, who also serves as a member of the Caesars for Danville steering committee.
“For decades, our region has looked for ways to attract tourists to our area,” said Hampton Wilkins, President of Wilkins & Co. Realtors. “The referendum is our opportunity, and we can’t miss out on it.”
“I have believed from the start that Caesars Virginia will continue the exciting economic revitalization of our region,” said Tammy Wright-Warren, Chief Operating Officer of Negril, Inc. and a co-chair of the Caesars for Danville Community. “This strength of this support from the business community demonstrates the opportunity that this project will create for a wide array of businesses,” added Wright-Warren, who is also a minority investor in the project.
